.6. Hurry Curry Poem by David Threadgold

.6. Hurry Curry

What will it be for tea tonight?
My Wife said do not worry
I’m making you a special dish
They call it hurry curry

She went into the kitchen
Got many pans and pots
Then went through all the cupboards
For packets there were lots

With spice rack at the ready
The fridge door open wide
Got very quickly emptied
From everything inside

Lots of clangs and clatters
I dare not go to near
So shouted from the doorway
Are you alright there dear

Yes it will soon be ready
As she stirred our largest pans
With lots of empty packets
And many empty cans

She placed it on the table
With a great big bowl of rice
I dare not ask her what it was
But it tasted very nice
