A Change Poem by Rini Shibu

A Change

Rating: 5.0

The view from windows are different
and everything is changing around us
But we are same in the old state
though our view points change
When you want to change
for the sake of your loved ones
your conscience don't allow
and also you don't feel free to indulge
Then you are in state of discomfort
and climate within you alters
To compromise you close your eyes
and permit others to be free
And you breathe the air of their freedom
But are you satisfied and happy?

Human behaviour is a complex phenomenon. Yes, we change but when it is kind of forced change 'for the sake of your loved ones' it amounts to compromise. This is the time when 'you are in state of discomfort'. Thanks for sharing an analytical poem.

To be free we must always be ourselves. This poem makes us think.+++10

you breathe the air of their freedom But are you satisfied and happy? watching others change might bring some change to a person yet this will never be enough to change the person.Great insightful poem

Rini, the opening line makes me think, The view from a window is no more the whole of the real than is what the lens of a camera sees. We need to keep this in mind, yes? Wishing you all the best, GK
