The clouds,
Elegantly do they stride
In their heavenly chambers
In the sky.
Tis' unjust,
That I should be chained here
Forced to bear witness to such majesty.
If my own thoughts and wishes were met,
I would glide out of this world
On a silky nimbus
To escape this silly, flitty society.
Kevin you were born to fly with you poetic wings! Fly my friend! FLY!

Thanks for all the support, everyone. Honestly, I didn't know this had been poem of the day four years in a row, and was very surprised to see the voiceover for it. I'm thinking of doing my own considering how many people like it. Thanks a lot guys :)
Very well written. Congratulations on having it chosen as poem of the day four years in a row on December 9!
Very simple yet very elegant. The clouds come alive in your poem and your distress about your incarceration appears to be real. Thanks, Kevin. This is my favorite poem.
Lovely piece I can feel it, thank you for share! .. I guess the clouds are probably smiling whispering: hey man smile with me, it's ok, you get to smell the flowers, climb a tree or simply take a shower, a thing I badly want yet.. never can...
