A Companion Poem by Navod Jayasuriya

A Companion

Rating: 4.1

She is so stunning that no one resembles her,
And enchantingly adorned with a spell rare,
Spiffs herself up with alluring dresses she wears,
It's her black-thick locks I'm almost aware.

Eyes are glittering diamonds like sparkles of flashes,
And has soft cheeks which turn into red in anger,
Bewitched by her pulchritude as a fervid fever,
Lithe physique provides more comfort than a peaceful slumber,
She is a flower with a soft toned texture,
Still holding thoughts being unable to render.

For she was the support in the long-passed days,
These words to esteem the supportive ways,
That we became companions in those glorious days,
Is it not a felicity that we had not taken parleys?
