A Day Spent With You Poem by Ayman Parray

A Day Spent With You

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
I am no Shakespeare and cannot do it his way
I shall instead compare you to an autumn morn
A time loved by me that none may scorn
The many moods of you are but the same
An euphoric feeling when I say your name
A look upon your face and my day a happier one
Life's dark cloud scatters and out comes the sun
You came into my life when troubles all around
And taught me it is all a game on a merry go round
A day lived with you is full of sport, joy and fun
Yes you are my loved one the one and only one
