Here at last the day of the dead,
We pay tributes to loved ones,
And their loving memories,
In our caring hearts resurrect
A day of November rains,
We forget our cares and pains
Cleansed by the holiness of the day,
Their legacy we remember,
For here they lived once with us,
And in the hereafter,
They shall lead the way
Candle lights for the dear departed,
Are reminders they are part of us,
And have not truly parted
With flowers we exchange love,
God, his saints and angels,
Send blessings from above
Our loved ones, our dear friends,
Dead but not forgotten,
By those you too shall not forget
We shall honor this day each year,
And meet again when the world ends

A heart touching poem! I always believed that when people die only their body perish. Their memories are so strong that we can feel their presence. We can rejoice in the fact that the spirit never dies. A beautiful poem and you deserve a full vote.
