A Dazzling Thing, When First Brought Up Poem by james watkin

A Dazzling Thing, When First Brought Up

A dazzling thing, when first brought up
A world, to wonder's eye.
But that was childs' abnormal.
His smile's glint sharpened by.

Despairingly gray without it!
That visual magic's aid.
Which prism, like his other toys
Dropped, done with; or mislayed.
