A Gift For Life - Poem by Abdul Wahab

My friend gave me
A gift for life

With all grace
I took it

and wear
on my neck

like a necklace
as if I won

a memento
in return of my love

and that is
of grief and sorrow.

If we all keep our friends gifts as a necklace in memento we would do a jumping dance like an African Masai: -) (Report) Reply

Nice message - accept gift from a friend, whatever it is and bear it. Thank you. (Report) Reply

You not share the grief and sorrow of your friends but wear them as necklace, wonderful use of metaphors. (Report) Reply
