A Girl Who Fell In Love - Poem by eve hurd

One foot over, I dare you jump, escape the hurt and pain,
make him want you again,
memorise the words he said oh how they made you bleed,
what a fool to play such a game a game of lies and greed,
lust brought out the worst in you, you weren't happy with what you had,
the rules were laid clear in front of you, your target a handsome man,
your life was made for you, you knew this game was doubt
and now standing at this great height its too late to have out,
you take the dice in one hand and land it on a six,
that's six times he was at your door, six times he held your hips,
the game was going smooth until your happiness came tumbling down,
you had broken the main rule, you had been found out,
looking down below you gave you such a fright,
happiness left along time ago, and now leaving was your life,
you blame the people who never listened and the man for what he did,
should have thought to blame yourself for the pain that was self inflicted,
falling and falling her body getting lighter,
to late to choose now her choice had been made for her,
on the bridge the man she loved, the choice was made by he,
she abused his love and broke his heart so this way it had to be,
he heard her call her final call oh what a tragedy
and yelled as she fell into the night a gift to you from me.
