Big Bear

A Heart Alone - Poem by Big Bear

A heart alone
will revel and rave
as it strikes out
trying feebly to be brave

A heart alone
when it thinks it's done
will race off
attempting to run

A heart alone
builds a stone wall
a cold fortress
to drive away all

A heart alone
will eventually sigh
with the truth
must find another or die

This is a nice poem. I like the way you hint at being rejected and trying to live your life again. -Lydia (Report) Reply
