A Home For Rain Poem by Barry Middleton

A Home For Rain

Rating: 4.8

I know the rain will find a home
for I do believe in destiny
as lilies rise to drink their fill
without debate of equity

the cloud conspires acquiring wealth
and yet lets go of selfish greed
for it must burst to grace the land
to bring new life to every seed

yet man is blind to lessons there
and hoards the blessings of the earth
his stores may rot as others starve
it seems the legacy of birth

but nature shares its vital trust
that rain may find a worthy heir
in bloom and brier and ripest fruit
to save the world from bleak despair

This is simply beautiful. The beauty and joy of rain so wisely put. Nature and mankind must be in harmony but man often goes against the generous spirit of nature and brings destruction upon himself. I'm loving your graphics too.

Humans have a dual nature for good and evil. Not enough of us strive for the good. Thanks for the read and comment.

Nature's most profound lesson is to take no more than the need. I doubt humans will ever heed the message.
