A Human Being Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

A Human Being

Rating: 5.0

[INSPIRED BY JON LONDON'S 'UNHEARD EARTH'
THANK YOU FRIEND JON]

Truth has been known here for long
truth has not grown into a song

MAN'S IDENTITY
seems to be causing
more and more of casualities

WHO AM I?
WHO ARE WE?
WHAT IS THE TRUE BOND
BETWEEN US

on a day to day
on a minute to minute
on a dawn to dawn
on a flower to flower
well in every flowering
we look at this truth
face to face

we as HUMAN BEINGS
have started focusing
we have made ourselves sharp
sharp and focused....we become
something other than a
HUMAN BEING

In life from then on
we deal with the focus and sharpness..that
the others are made up of
the natural glitter in the child's eye
we loose slowly...and
that is the absolute happiness
that we loose

from the best receptor
we become
the best attacker
we never relate
we only deal with
focused and sharp
HUMAN BEINGS
who they are not

AS HUMAN BEINGS
we are the greatest naturally
AS HUMAN BEINGS
we are the greatest receptors of all

till then.....
let us be the receptors of all

Focus and sharpness
has made us into some thing else
we no longer interact as HUMANS

A competitive edge
survival of the fittest
all these have made us
into something else

just as law cannot
similarly a diplomat
cannot...connect
us with our lives

as individual receptors
we have so many sharp ends
we are not aware of..ours is a birth
of HAPPINESS

There is no two sides
to happiness
not a grim looser..there is none
to a bright winner

LIFE HAS TO BE LIVED
THERE IS NOTHING TO WIN HERE

YOur last two lines are so true, many seem to get lost in competition, instead taking life as it comes. We should take the flow of life to its completion. Happiness is inside all of us just waiting to be seen. A great write Samanyan.

Great write sir! In our scramble to achieve and survive, we lose ourselves...life indeed has to be lived!

Over the years Jon has inspired all of us at one time or the other. A great tribute to him and his many poetic talents, just as you have demonstrated you talent in this poem. Well written and well described, we all learn from each other. Great Poem. Your friend Lynn

Well life is different for everyone...but we all want our own sanctum to cuddle our loved one's and call it home...and live by nobody's rule of thumb except god's. The happiness call is refreshing regards

This appears like a confession of a disappointed soul.
