A Man Today - Poem by nusy jaybalam
will i love a man today?
will people laugh?
will they say 'i knew you would change'?
can i love a man today?
can i depend on him?
can i trust him with my feelings and secrets?
should i love man today?
should i do as he says?
should i give him my rights as a human?
must i love a man today?
must i cook and give him children?
must i stay sober so that he can drink and have all the fun?
may i love a man today?
may i cry if he laughs at my hurt?
may i let him sleep with other women?
shall i love a man today?
shall i forgive him for the lies and pain?
shall i say goodbye as he walks away with her?
