A Mental Blockage Poem by Tex T Sarnie

A Mental Blockage

A pen rests whilst awaiting action.
Anticipation searches for inspiration.
An idea is undergoing construction.
A pen still awaits the vital instruction.

A sheet of paper is ready and waiting,
And the sitting writer is ready too.
Action is still not forthcoming
And a sentence is way overdue.

A diversion brings forth fresh thoughts.
At last, a concept is coming through.
A word at first and then a sentence,
An idea is creating something new.

A trio of lines leads the way to four.
A full stanza is almost completed.
An extra thought has arrived to finish.
Once again the mind remains undefeated.
