Awoke from the cold sleep glazed by the sun
The reluctant strides into the sea of oblivion,
A sheet so silent on the bare breast
Warm my country side, faint and delicate;
Tobacco’s leaves yellowish green
Roots of the trees penetrate earth’s maiden.
Flowers burn on stems on the colored slope
Dew’s evaporation and the gardener’s hope.
From the flying dark clench life’s sense
Yet the hyacinths and bougainvillea’s incense,
Under the air’s currents like poetry move
The ears breathe and the soft steps strove.
