A Nesting Squirrel (Senryu)
Winter afternoon
Heavy winter rain just stopped
I watch in my room.
A nesting squirrel
Climbs up a mulberry tree
With long dead brown weeds.
Then for a moment
On birdhouse roof adjacent
It grooms with much fun.
It's so exciting!
I can't wait to see in spring
Its happy offspring.
