A poem cannot diminish the Loneliness
The Loneliness is greater than any poem-
The Loneliness is great
The Fear is sometimes greater-
A poem is a little song of solace
But against that distance and darkness
That Fear
What can it mean?
Writing about loneliness does not diminish it, but admitting it to the world somehow makes the burden lighter. It stirs up hope that someone will read our words and come to the rescue. When others recognize our loneliness and acknowledge it, it's as if they're helping us carry our burden. For a while, it seems to be lighter. It's short-lived, of course, but these little spurts of hope give us the chance to recover a bit of strength, making it easier to go on.
I also do agree that a poem cannot erase the loneliness, rather makes it more aggravated. You may read my poem A misery

One poem cannot erase the loneliness, only express it to the world. Many poems over the years helps us to live with the loneliness, experiencing it in many different ways, helping us to understand it a little better through the seeing of our feelings, I think. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
