I read this poem several time, wrapping my mind around its meaning. I was just about to type in the first line I CAN REALLY RELATE TO THIS POEM BECAUSE... and then I saw you had dedicated it to me. And I felt a rush of both pride and joy, pride to be so wonderfully affirmed and joy to be in the company of my fellow poets. The closing two lines are wonderful! DREAMS and LOVE are two words that sum up the double experience of writing and reading poems, with Dreans being the content and Love the motive force. What an amazing life we poets lead with Dreams and Love being significant components. Shelley called a poet's life the ELECTRIC LIFE, and how could it be otherwise charged by the twin resources of Dreams and Love. If we are true to our art, there will be no room for boredom, laziness, pettiness, biases, etc. in our natures. You see your poem for me has inspired not only pride and joy but also optimism!
