A Sonnet In Praise Of Our Wonderful Government Poem by David Wood

A Sonnet In Praise Of Our Wonderful Government

Rating: 5.0

Our government is totally useless
Most MP's have the brains of a donkey
People's hopes and dreams they fail to address
All their policies are always wonky.

The bloke in charge is a complete buffoon,
And is economical with the truth,
His policies are often changed too soon
He's nothing like a political sleuth.

This government is steeped in growing sleaze,
Conniving every day to con us all,
I hope soon they will be brought to their knees,
At least by next summer, or early fall.

We are stuck with them for a few more years
Their ineptitude leaves us all in tears.

The words woven in this poem cut like a knife. Very incisive write so well expressed. A powerful cry against inefficient officials.
