A Storm We Have To Weather Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

A Storm We Have To Weather

Rating: 5.0

The pandemic unleashes its fury,
Infecting the nations with its virus;
Men from all walks of life start to worry
About their health that doesn't inspire us.

Like a super typhoon, it hits with ire,
Wreaking havoc on the face of the earth;
It devastates the land like a wild fire,
Destroying and decreasing human's worth.

Because the illness that spreads is fatal,
Face masks and face shields become evident;
PPE men work in the hospital,
Attending many a covid patient.

Coronavirus gives birth to Delta,
Bringing more trouble to community;
Omicron variant adds preys to data
On long list of victims in misery.

Human's resiliency really matters,
He stands his ground to combat the fierce foe;
His head is up when everything shatters,
Seeing the hope for the sunlight to glow.

So the Netherlands regards this variant as not so furious, people recovers quickly, so our government decides after the third LockDown that all restaurants, shops, cafetarias may open again from 10 AM to 10 PM, people are not forbidden anymore to eat and sit down in restaurants

Magnificently worded, dear Bernard Sir, mankind has more science now and can follow this nasty virus till the finest points and we have discovered the omicron variant, not so dangerous, but is spreading in whole nature, but never deadly
