A Summering Day~ Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

A Summering Day~

Rating: 5.0

My bed of blossoms - awaken
While the skirt of dawn simply sways
Embroidered leaves & butterflies embellish
While euphoria warms in the new sun's rays;
A garden of the richest splendour
Evokes memories of love most enchanted times
Wafting fragrances of this days blooms
Creates an ambience most sublime;
Bordering on - near sheer perfection
As day grows into a more prolific way
While the hem of late afternoon 'tis idle
My bed of blooms prepare for the end of day;
All tucked neatly in their earthen bed
All comfy - cozy & ready for a nightly rest
The blanket of night covers them ever gently
Slumbering in perfection- are the very best;

I really enjoyed this very lovely poetic write. A beautiful bed of flowers basking in the sunlight and coming to rest at night in the flower bed. A well crafted poem.
