There but for the Grace of God go I
My Mother always said this, whenever I would cry
I've seen so much, watching everyone feel pain
The sun was often shining, but it felt like rain
My childhood memories aren't always the best
But it seems this has been a bit of a test
Testing my courage, who knows why
Andwhen I was young, my brother had to die
People don't understand the importance of living
We seem to be just taking and not ever giving
SO please take a breath and enjoy each day
Life can be hard.Just stay strong and all will turn out okay
Beautiful poem. Great understanding of how precious and what a miracle Life is. The importance of giving, not always taking. Very touching Lyn, right to the heart Why is it that poets ands artists understand this but the men that so badly govern us DONT? ? ?
thanksgiving should abound for the things we have been blessed with. so lucky are we. lovely poem
