Do you see this little tiny plant
In the middle of red rock and dirt?
It looks so very lonely there
To stop and visit it would not hurt.
I wondered so much about it
The lack of water was so amazing
What makes it able to thrive?
My eyes just kept on gazing.
It must be a very special plant
Nourishment the air must bring
Yes, I was startled when I saw a plant
In the middle of Tensleep, Wyoming!
It's not really a 'real plant' at all, Marilyn, but a teeny tiny, oh so small Mars alien. Earth looks plowed; is Tensleep at the edge of a field? bri :) Let me read your 'The Elderly Garden'.
Tiny plants can take hold in some of the strangest places. The resilience of nature is amazing. I enjoyed reading this. Keep writing, my friend.
I liked your poem. It is nice to see the picture as well. The colour of the rock is so deep and rich. A lovely sight to see a living thing growing in a place where you would not expect to see.
And your poem is sweet and beautiful on a lonely lanat in dry parched land middle of nowhere. It is a fine poetic eye for detail to notice it and the poem itself is fabulous. Kudos! ! Plz do read and comment your thoughts on my newest prose titled, " face veils/face masks same thing " as it fosters an understanding of the shared veiling practice btw east and west since history.
