A Transfusion Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Transfusion

Rating: 5.0

When life is waning
And precious blood is draining
A transfusion is call upon
Before you go to the beyond

Labeled with A, B, AB, or Os
The generous giver is undisclosed
When the lights turn on
The fear of dying is gone

To whom; you don’t know who
You can thank for a healthy hue…
He or she is your brother or sister
They have saved you from disaster

From branches of history and continents
We are all made of the same ingredients
You recover with grateful appreciation
To the faceless vein that made a donation
