Just once a week, my group makes stops
at doughnut shops,
where we partake
of things that make
us fatter still, but we don't care;
it's our affair.
One little taste
can't hurt my waist.
Then comes the scene that hurts for sure:
the clothing store,
where each one tries
a larger size.
Note: in 2019, I again took third place in the Minute Poem category of the NFSPS contests with my poem 'Wishful Fishing'. In 2020, the poem that I submitted did not place.
One little taste can't hurt my waist.... //.... True, until you need a larger size of apparel to put on. Lovely poem with a lovelier picture on obesity and obese. Thanks.
oh! the scene hurts the fairness of body and mind! /// nice and funny
