Aa3 One Day Poem by Bill Smith

Aa3 One Day

Like the moon eclipses the sun

Your hello is swallowed by a bitterness I do not understand

And your lips that I once kissed with such joy

Now only speak rejection

Somewhere between us, you and me

Lies your perception of the past

A crime I did not commit

Wrong to think of myself

Wrong to think of you

Plain wrong

Left with nothing but experience

That one day will turn to my advantage

I still crave your smiled

Your willing, hello
