Aberrant Elation - Poem by Vicky Harley

If I wrote you a love song would you hand me the knife?
If I sang to you softy would you make me your wife?
With an optimistic parody I spray you with wine,
With an unachievable silence you wish for extra time.

If I wrote you a love song would you hand me the knife?
As I wish for you and I my love you wish that you could lie.
If I failed to move you my love would you refuse to show,
As the love gets less and less these days the hate begins to grow.

If I wrote you a love song would you hand me the knife?
Because I’d rather see you dead sweet love than to let me be your wife.
