I know not where from this ocean flows
Nor to which shore it waves do roll
I cannot tell the pythons head
Nor its tail from this sick bed
I stand in absurdity on every way
Unknown to me night or day
I know not in whose womb I slept
Nor to where my knees slowly crept
I know no bitterness so far from truth
Nor sweet lies in the devil's tooth
Shadows or reflection I cannot tell
In my hellish heaven nor heaven like hell
Still in absurdity's way I solely stand
On wet ocean and on dry land
Like the wind life seems to me
Knowing not its birth nor death to be
