Accepting Death Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Accepting Death

Rating: 4.8

Death changes those
Who are left behind
Who pine for and mourn
The demise of the one
Who was their own

When death takes a loved one
It cripples the ones bereft
Stealing their dreams
Waning their smiles
Dulling the sparkle of their eyes

It bores a hole
In their heart
Which only time can repair
And leaves a scar forever
Reminder of the pain they endure

This poem depicts the naked truth that can be very well generalized! A thought provoking poem! Well penned!

This is the truth. The dear and loved one are the permanent sufferers in one's death. Nicely done. Thanks for posting.
