"....Dan Dun Din" Aduke Arelewa rolls the talking drum
Dark as an ackee nut, beauty at peak, juicy as plum
Typical African nymph; calabash at standard might
The unique daybreak palm wine at quality height
Perplexation conveys stare at your waist beads jiggle
And those cherries wiggle cease not throw one baffle
Dulcet voice pure placid as early gush of stream
Perfect oofi, well braided shuku my jar filling to brim
At thy bonnie face's smile the hardest heart sets to melt
Thy affection revives as the gentle breeze from west felt
Thy kiss ferries distress fade as the slow solitary ship sail on sea
Thus sing thy pulchritude and sublime the squirrel, warbler and the bee
At the cashew tree, "yes" popped thy lovely lips that night
Ever since, key I mislaid to comporting and reasoning right
My psyche you enchant wholly thou irresistible love
Thus my heart plunges grandly the nippy dew above
Time has got wings; time's a blink
If ever you'll set foot ashore, you put me to think
Studying still? Ten years off you embarked for London
Nothing worse writing me romance with new love Mr Gordon
Heartthrob you love and found there you said at Oxford
Sure these came to be as money and distance I cannot afford
A spell is this? Thy love and affection again i crave
This soberly i beseech Aduke lest i see my grave
Alas! My ebony love's going astray
Grant not this Eledumare! to you i pray
Ten years by, lonely still in horrific hole
Aduke my jewel and life come home make me whole.
