Afterlife Poem by Christine Kerr

Afterlife

What's that out of the corner of my eye,
Is it a spirit looming, from the other side.

Could it be my parents or my last beloved pet,
Are they hanging around me so I won't forget.

Things are missing, Things are moved.
Which one of you are telling me, I belong in a zoo.

I feel your presents, day and night,
Reminding me of our many delights.

I'm trying to be good, honest and fair,
To find my way to those who care.

the after life that you speak is a life so unique it is a life of humans and creatures alike, and to get into your mind they will fight.

Whoops - I did a similar poem with the same title. Mine wasn't as spooky though!
