You're a candle,
A burning candle,
A bright burning candle in this dreadfully silent night,
Illuminating our shattered dreams,
Though meek, your presence felt near and far,
From an elevation,
Arrows of your candlelight lit our dark hearts,
In this horror like night of despair,
Our hopes,
Our future,
Whence our bodies unseen,
Enclosed in this cylindrical blurred tunnel of hopelessness,
Our future dark, darkened by the harsh reality,
In this beautiful garden of kapalani,
Sheltered by shanties of bitterness,
Brunch of hope our daily bread,
Crystal and complete.
But,
There is light at the end of the tunnel,
Because you are a candle.
