The Succubus Poem by Edwin Owade

The Succubus

Rating: 5.0

QUICK, like a hot fiery comet,
She landed on my hearts' crust.
Surreptitiously, quenching a deep desire,
A desire for love and affection,
Sabotaging my orbital norm,
With her cherubic being.

CRYSTAL thoughts and dreams;
Of her, got me to fall into a trance.
Her universe like presence at night,
Spiced and lit up my dark world,
A world yet unchartered.
Lo and behold,
Altering the core existence of my life.

ECLIPSE of my love became inevitable,
Everything went dark,
My north star went dark,
Now bleeding softly at night,
Crying out earthquake of sorrow,
Grief and confusion;
Engulfed every corner of my universe,
My galaxy dim and in disarray.

The very essence of an enchantress is aptly portrayed in the poem. An insightful creation nicely crafted with conviction.
