Albert Einstein 64 - a Lasting Friendship With Queen Elisabeth Of Belgium

Rating: 5.0

From 1929 onwards,
A beautiful friendship blossomed between
Dr. Einstein and the Royal couple of Belgium -
Queen Elisabeth and King Albert 1.
A long exchange of letters between them
Resulted in a warm, friendly, pleasant,
Bond, that lasted throughout their lives!

At the end of the same year.
Dr. Einstein was invited by the royal couple,
To be their guest in their royal palace in Laeken.
It was a meeting of sensitive minds and aesthetic values!
Queen Elisabeth was a lover of music.
At Queen's request Einstein played music with her.
They enjoyed playing, creating ripples of melodies together.

Dr.Einstein was much impressed with Queen's gentle,
Refined demeanour, her modesty and nobility.
He loved their royal company and spent quality time
In Belgian Royal court, having tea with them,
Surrounded by ladies in waiting,
In an elite atmosphere of style and grandeur.
Dr. Einstein visited them again, the following year!

Unfortunately, King Albert 1 of Belgium,
Passed away in 1934,
That left the queen forlorn and depressed.
Dr. Einstein wrote long, flowing, empathetic
Letters to the Queen, which in itself
Is a literature, so impressive
And so poignant!
