Alive Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Alive

You can come and try to rain on my parade
and keep trying to push me around
but still you will never knock me down

You can speak to what you think I want to hear
but in the end I will be still standing here
standing with my pride strong and tall

You can hide behind your mask of lies
try to pull me in a crowd of your masquerade
but there's a soul alive in me that never dies

And no matter what you try to do to me
you will never get me to fall
because you can't show me something you don't see
and that's what is alive inside of me
that will forever remain free
