All The Things Poem by Doris Cornago

All The Things

Rating: 5.0

All the things you've learned
You'll unlearn in the end
Receive what you're
Given, be glad
What's on
Hand
Forget
The past
Filter the future
Decrease expectations
Let every moment be whole
What you have is your only portion

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Survival is a day to day thing. You cannot say you've leaned ev everything and you are equipped for the future because something new and unexpected always turns up. The best strategy you can pin your hopes on is to delete the past and move on. Every moment is completed as step get on them, no hesitation or obfuscation. Like going down the stairs to a dark basement, you leave everything behind you before you can know what's in the uncertain future.
