Alone Poem by Gerald Opio

Alone

Alone, alone, alone...
Is my daily song I wake up to,
Dancing like nobody's watching,
A place where I derive my joy,
A delight like no other.

It's not loneliness,
Just I, me and myself,
Having a fun filled day at home,
Looking at the rooftop,
Strolling stealthily within the house.

Playing our favorite song,
On repeat at the loudest pitch,
Playing it alone like the player,
Alone, a remedy like no other,
Keeping us away from toxic people.
