Always Contemplating My Two Angels Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Always Contemplating My Two Angels

We all have to strive, work hard, and show kindness
until we relinquish ourselves to the grave.

We'll return to God or nothingness
and hopefully the people we have harmed
were not harmed completely
and hopefully the people we helped
were helped sufficiently.

This life is the briefest experience of joy
amid a flood of copious tears,
but birds die silently
in vacant fields.
