Am Thrilled

i can smell breeze of spring
flirting with jaded leaves within
rubylike fruits cradled gingerly
keeping hungry beaks at bay
grass let grow to thier desire
keeping safe from brush fire

sky is not very far away
scattered clouds on its way
birds happily fly at will
unmindful of receding chill
well i let my feet take me
to its destinations everyday
