An Angel's Hiatus Poem by Kewayne Wadley

An Angel's Hiatus

Love became words slurred
Lost amongst the passion that stirred inside them
Fires ignited with the burning of each stare
They became ash
Free to roam each others touch
The heavens quaked as such a rumble was never before seen
Seen in such a look
Such bliss that flourished
As lips quivered at the very thought
Aching as they grew parched as each second turned to pain
Silent cries that spoke louder than breath itself
Thoughts that fed the fire that devoured them with each stare
As the very definition of insanity welcomed their touch
An angel lost forever in an touch
Forbidden
As fingertips sealed the hush that forever lit the suns horizon
