An Expedition Towards End

This life is a journey
Over a fire filled path
Like it or not
You have to walk on it! !
With umpteen number of
Blisters and wounds
You have to cross
And end this passage at last.
Though, a bouncy road being laid
With thorns and fire on it.
But alas!
Still we all are running after it
Being totally ignorant about the end.
Licking it and following it
With a hope till the end.
Such an intoxicating narcotic
Is affixed with this life! !
It allures, engulfs
And forces you
To be succumbed at last.
None can avoid
It's killer instinct! !

Very true, in spite of all these stumbling blocks in our life, we all are allured to move ahead through all those risky path and at last some where we fall and end. So beautifully expressed. Thank you.
Wow! Such a perfect portrayal of our lives on earth! We go through so much pain and suffering throughout our lives, yet we are reluctant to give it up in hopes of finding something good in it's trials. So true, we numb ourselves somehow and continue living through it. Totally honest and realistic depiction of how we live here on earth, Amitava. Another 10 for sure! Inspite of all adversities, man is zealous to continue his journey throuhg thorn strewn paths! Very few think of leaving the track half way! To me, here lies the beauty of life! A great write, Amitava!
