An Ode To The Alphabet Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

An Ode To The Alphabet

A is the beginning, the first of them all,
B follows closely, with a bar that is tall.
C is a curve that bends round with ease,
D is a straight line with a slant, if you please.

E stands up tall, with a crosspiece up high,
F is similar, with a shorter cross nigh.
G has a loop that swings down to the right,
H stands firm, with two pillars in sight.

I is a line, straight and so slim,
J is a hook, a line with a trim.
K is a letter that leans to the right,
L is a line with a curl at its height.

M and N have slants that are alike,
O is a circle, easy to strike.
P has a curve that turns to the left, Q is a line with a tail that's so deft.

R has a curve and a slant to the right,
S is a curve with a loop so light.
T is a cross that's both lofty and neat,
U is a bowl, a circle to greet.

V is a letter that points to the sky,
W is a letter with points up so high.
X has two lines that cross in the middle,
Y is a letter with a tail so little.

Z is a letter with a slant and a bend,
And these are the letters, from beginning to end.

The alphabet's letters, so varied and bold,
Are the building blocks of the stories told.
With these simple shapes, we create and define, All the words that make up our language so fine.
