AN OLD MAN'S GRUMBLING
How quickly does our time go.
The days run by, the years fly.
If the young men only know,
That old age is to defy.
Aging is a long, long road,
And comes when you do not wait.
Aging means a new abode
Onto which you will go straight.
Aging breaks your fragile body
And grinds it into shear dust.
Aging makes you somewhat shoddy
When in life you've got no trust.
You'll get out of situation.
When from the life you break.
Death is seen the right salvation -
"Se La vie", neither give nor take!
yes, Death is the Great Emancipator from Life, as President Lincoln was deemed the Great Emancipator from slavery for U.S. (black) slaves. i wonder if the Emancipation Proclamation covered " Indian" and other slaves as well. hmm? nice rhyming. if your body were ground to dust by the time of death, it would save one from having to be cremated or buried! ! ! just add a bit to the (survivors') cake recipes for a few years. to MyPoemList bri :)
Thanks, my dear Friend! I'd like as well to " add a bit to the (survivors) cake recipes" , if possible. But not everything depends on us or on our wish. Otherwise we'd live eternally.

I would like to translate this poem
'You'll get out of situation. When from the life you break. Death is seen the right salvation - " Se La vie" , neither give nor take! '.. is very true. Death is the end. There is no more aging and grumbling after that. Very nice.10++++
Thank you very much, dear Anil for your comment. Death is an escape from reality.
