Angels' Tears Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Angels' Tears

Rating: 5.0

The angels wish to cease singing
For they are tired and want to sleep
But can't for they are fearful of falling
And sad because they want to lay their heads
As their voices cannot hold a note any longer
Continuing to sing an aria that is our sour
I went upon the hill
To plea with them to go
And rest their voices for they deserve sleep
Wiping their tears away
They fell asleep on the gray clouds above
As I covered them with light
