Annihilate The Hate Poem by Sandra Feldman

Annihilate The Hate

Rating: 4.5

Poems from the heart
That softly set apart
The little goodness
That still lies,
In human heart
Please,
Illuminate the way,
Become sweet prayers
Of everyday,
That teach,
To love and live
To have and give
Some Universal
Kindness,
Violence,
Do forget,
But don't forgive.

Make us understand,
This world belongs
To all of us,
But not to those
That seek control
Of thoughts,
And human rights
And if you want
Respect,
You must deploy it
Too,
This world belongs
To all of us!
Not just to you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The animosity, the ignorant hate, the violence being instigated by
certain political rags is intolerable and terribly dangerous. It is how Hitler built Nazi Germany, and we are not, I hope, that
murderously. Low!

Thanks Sandra, for sharing your legitimate concerns through this poem. Animosity breeds animosity, love begets love. Sadly, we are being submerged by the spoken and unspoken waves of hate culture. Poems like this can inspire us to help annihilate hate.
