Another Time Poem by Patricia Gale

Another Time

Rating: 5.0

My thoughts of thee will not fade like the morning dew
Nor shall they part from this heart so true
They shall join me with each step
Caressing me through my day

Before the peak of sunrise
In soft whispers and in sighs
Tender wishes and star lit skies
Thou art with me always

Look into this soul and see the one who has waited patiently for thy hand
Ever changing nor shifting sand could take my love away from thee
Never would it flee though many times I prayed it be
This heart shall be near to thee……. never far from where’st thou art

Many have come and many left
For the imprint of thee lingered with in my soul
And nigh one could, hold a candle to the brilliance of thous’t memory
Forever imbedded, burned with my being

Knowest thou this hold that has’t been placed upon my life?
The destiny to be by your side
To fulfill what was left undone
In another time and in another place

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Patricia How you brought the Another Time into another place with the language of yesterday was simply divine. Time was slower then, dreams lingered longer but no way could we have got beautiful poems like yours to each other with such speed. Thank you so much...Karin Anderson
