Any Questions? Poem by Paul Butters

Any Questions?

Rating: 5.0

Any Questions?
The perfect way to start a lesson,
Or Poem
Even.

Yes you!
My Reader.
Any Questions?
Apology none for being so blunt.

Let’s get interactive.
Anything you want to talk about.
Within the bounds of decency and respect.
Your issues, burning like the fathomless pits of Hell.

Your topics:
Animals, life, death, sex, relationships, humanity?
Or maybe religion, politics, children, nature?
Celebrities, science, art, poetry, television, sport?

Or would you rather learn about me?
A man in the delightful dales,
Up at seven because thoughts of teaching
Led to scribbled notes
And then
This poem.

A bloke who cannot help but write a piece,
When really he ought to be asleep.
No beauty shall I ever be.
No wonder.

The sun is shining,
And the wind does blow.
An aircraft flew above,
All denying last night’s torrential rain.

So,
Any Questions?
