Anything But A Love Poem Poem by Matthew Holloway

Anything But A Love Poem

Rating: 5.0

Love is the false prophet
the lie of a harmonious life
the unattainable mantle
the betrayal of the heart and soul
love is a fallacy in fact
it is a nothingness
a whisper in the shadows
a ghost in the soul
an echo in the internal screams
which never leave
from the promise of Nirvana
to the fall of sanity
love is the centre, the key
love is the reason
for why I lost me

it is a nothingness a whisper in the shadows a ghost in the soul an echo in the internal screams.....the poet here addresses a different facet of love with a bit of frustration! The title justifies the theme!
