April Poem by William Watson

April

Rating: 2.7

April, April,
Laugh thy girlish laughter;
Then, the moment after,
Weep thy girlish tears!
April, that mine ears
Like a lover greetest,
If I tell thee, sweetest,
All my hopes and fears,
April, April,
Laugh thy golden laughter,
But, the moment after,
Weep thy golden tears!

Lovely little poem showing flippancy of a beloved's heart. Enjoyed reading it. Laugh thy golden laughter, But, the moment after, Weep thy golden tears!

Another poet once said April is the Cruelest Month, but I don't see it when reading this. Its a season of tears and laughter, a lovely work.

Oh, my goodness! Isn't this a lovely write! ! ! ! Love the girlish laughter echoing through it and even the sweet girlish tears- - Spring is such a delightful season, the youngest child of the year
