Are You Not Insane? Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Are You Not Insane?

Are you not insane?

I am crawling in the streets of my brain.
Avoiding polluting the delicate frame
I am looking for something
What i find is not nothing

Electric cables
Ecletic fables
Billions of synapsis
Trillions of lapses

What a mess
What a maze
Unknown Junctions
Unknown functions

Rivers of blood
Juices in flood
Ideas in mud
Creating a dud

Swelling
Smelling
Spelling
Quelling

A real conundrum
A real cone in a drum
No wonder things never make sense
No wonder dreams yield nonsense

I have a headache
I have a heartache
Maybe it's a heart burn
Heart pains, head burns

I am crawling out of my brain
before i cause a mental strain
But I m already seeing things
Frightening earthly beings

Mouths in the rear
Eyes queer queer
Is it not too late for me?
Can i forget where i ve been?

I dont know any more
My brain is so very sore
I can't focus
Everything bogus

I see a country with a nasty ruler
I see a nation with a wheelerdealer
Africans living in Wuhan in Siberia
Dominicans in Sichuan in Liberia

I can't take the changes
I can't fake its strange
I have got to get out
I have to go shout

Arghhhhhhhh! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Arghhhhhhhh! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

What about you?
Will you tell the truth?
What's in your brain?
Are you not insane?
